US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children and adults with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities that is offered only through local USYS-affiliated soccer clubs. TOPSoccer provides our members with an opportunity to play soccer in a uniquely structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive. 

As part of US Youth TOPSoccer, SAA TOPSoccer is a non-competitive, adaptive soccer program for children ages 5 and over with a disability. Each practice includes activities modified to each individual's unique abilities, strengths, and motivations. Players participate alongside volunteer "Buddies" in a safe, encouraging, inclusive, and fun environment. Everyone who wants to play will be accommodated in such a way so that they can participate.   

SAA TOPSoccer began in September 2018 and is supported by Schaumburg Athletic Association-Recreational Soccer, and affiliated with Illinois Youth Soccer Association and U.S. Youth Soccer.

We practice as one team with players and buddies working on skills and fun activities together.  For a portion of the practice we may break players into ability level for scrimmages if possible.   Our practices may not always look like the game of soccer because while we want to teach the game to our players, we most importantly want everyone to have fun, be active, and build connections with one another.
